Registered Massage Therapy in Kanata

Relieve stress and pain with a soothing massage from our registered massage therapists.

What is Registered Massage Therapy?

Massage Therapy is a manual soft tissue therapy that focuses on the soft tissues in the body such as muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia.  At Inertia Physio+, we offer different types of Registered Massage Therapy such as Deep Tissue Massage, Relaxation Massage and Sports Massage in Kanata and Stittsville.  We use a combination of techniques all aimed at achieving the many benefits of massage therapy.

All of our therapists here at Inertia Physio+ are Registered Massage Therapists (RMT).  RMTs are Regulated Healthcare Practitioners who specialize in manual treatment using a variety of soft tissue release techniques. To become registered, they must graduate from an accredited post-secondary institution, accumulate many hours of training and then pass the provincial testing standard. They must maintain their membership with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, an independent body that regulates the service of Registered Massage Therapists.

RMTs are true experts in the soft tissue therapies of the body.  Every therapist brings a slightly different philosophy, style and touch to their treatment.  Massage Therapists hone their skills, style and touch with years of experience, which is why we offer a great deal of experience in the RMTs at our clinic.  At Inertia Physio+, it is important for us to offer different approaches so that everyone can find one that works for them.

Registered Massage Therapy uses a variety of soft tissue release techniques that can promote many health benefits in the body and mind, therefore instilling whole body wellness and health.  Some of the benefits include physical and emotional benefits to the nervous system, including relaxation, calming and feelings of happiness and general well-being.  It can also release muscular tension and scar tissue adhesions, which can help you rehabilitate from injury and allow your body to move more functionally with a better range of motion and mobility.  It can aid in healing and recovery from workouts or sporting events.  It can also enhance circulation and lymphatic drainage, keeping the body functioning optimally.  Massage Therapy can be used for the maintenance of overall health and mobility in the body.  Please see additional sections on Deep Tissue Massage Therapy, Relaxation Massage and Sports Massage for more details on the benefits of the different types of Massage Therapy.

At Inertia Physio+, our RMTs are highly trained and experienced in helping you maintain your body, heal from an injury or prepare your body for an active mobile lifestyle. If you are in need of a massage from an RMT, contact us to book your appointment at our Kanata location.

Unlike many other physio clinics, you can tell they truly care about helping you.

The team at Inertia physio has single-handedly fixed me. They're extremely knowledgeable and compassionate -- providing top-notch service.

Drew and his team are pros.

I really appreciate how the physiotherapists take the time to work on you for a full 30 minutes as opposed to the typical 5-10 minutes and then 30 minutes of hot towels and other automated processes you see at other clinics.

Hands-down THE best physio I’ve ever experienced!

I feel like I owe this place so much for helping to get my life and favourite activities back and will certainly never hesitate to recommend Inertia Physio+ to everyone I know.

I cannot say enough positive, wonderful things about Sarah and the team at Inertia.

I have been seeing Sarah for a few years and she has always put me back "together" from hip replacements, to knee injuries, daily injuries from having a son who is 6ft9 and has Autism.

I highly recommend Sarah and her team.

My whole family are action sports enthusiasts, mountain bikers, competitive skiers, rugby players etc, so stuff happens!  Sarah has brought us back from numerous injuries, from the minor soft tissue damage to traumatic multiple bone break rehabilitation and everything in between.

Super warming and welcoming atmosphere, every single staff member I came in contact with were so amazing.

Great service and all of needs were addressed phenomenally. Natasha was an amazing physiotherapist. Very attentive and kind. Highly recommend
