Sara Sheridan is a graduate of McMaster University with a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy. Previous to her Masters, she completed her Bachelors of Kinesiology at the University of Victoria.
As a Physiotherapist, Sara is keen to help her clients reach their health goals. She is interested in orthopaedic injuries in all age groups and levels of activity with a special interest in people with disabilities.
Prior to her studies as a Physiotherapist Sara worked as a personal trainer for athletes with disabilities in Victoria. She was an integral member of the support team for several Paralympic athletes based out of Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence (PISE) and enjoyed the challenge of managing different physical abilities while striving to reach her athletes’ competitive and health goals.
Sara is always looking to expand her skills as a Physiotherapist and has taken post-graduate courses in manual therapy, taping, and dry needling which she uses in combination to help her patients start to feel better and get back to their activities.
Sara enjoys learning about hidden food, coffee and nature gems that only the locals know both in Kanata and Ottawa. Having moved from the West Coast, she is still getting used to having four seasons but loves all the outdoor activities they offer from snowshoeing and hiking in the winter and fall to cycling and paddle boarding in the spring and summer.
