Sarah Peters - BKIN(CH), R.KIN, CAT(C)
Certified Athletic Therapist, Registered Kinesiologist, Owner

Sarah graduated with a Kinesiology degree from the Memorial University of Newfoundland, and then went on to complete her Advanced Certificate in Athletic Therapy at Mount Royal College in Calgary. She completed the requirements to become a Certified Athletic Therapist in 2003.

Sarah brings a variety of experience and course work to her clinical treatment. She treats using a strong manual (hands-on) therapy and exercise rehabilitation approach, while focusing on the goals of each unique patient. She uses Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Release, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Mulligan, Muscle Energy, Soft Tissue Release, and Active Isolated Stretching Techniques.

Sarah also draws on her strong background in coaching the sport of figure skating, and in strength and conditioning, to ensure her patients receive an exercise program that will help them meet their goals and get back to sport and life faster. She previously held coaching designations with the NCCP, including level III Theory and Level II Certification in the sport of Figure Skating. She has also held some of the most highly regarded strength and conditioning certifications such as Professional Fitness and Lifestyle Consultant through the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (Canada), and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (USA). She is passionate about helping people and athletes not only continue performing in their lives, jobs or sports, but also excel at them. She believes that the key components of injury prevention and healing will also aide in life function and athlete technique, and allow previously unattainable increases in function and performance level.

Before her educational and career endeavours, Sarah was a competitive figure skater and synchronized skater with two National titles. As an Athletic Therapist, Sarah has worked with many collegiate sports teams including volleyball, soccer, wrestling, gymnastics and rugby. She has also had experience at National Championship level events for figure skating, artistic and rhythmic gymnastics, worked as a therapist for the Calgary Colts in the Canadian Junior Football League, and worked on the Canadian medical team for the Professional Bull Riding Association.
