Zaccharie Chartrand - B.HK (Honours), MHScPT

Originally from North Bay, Ontario, Zac came to Ottawa and attended the University of Ottawa where he completed the Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Kinetics in 2016. He later obtained his Master's of Health Sciences Degree in Physiotherapy in 2018.
Zac has a particular interest in orthopaedics and musculoskeletal injuries, however he also has experience in cardiorespiratory rehab. He ran a cardiorespiratory clinic in Orleans while he was working full time at a Sports Physiotherapy clinic. In his second year, he expanded his skillset and knowledge as he accepted the challenge of specializing in TMJ, vestibular and headaches/migraines. He has also been fortunate to learn osteopathic techniques and theories that he applies to his everyday practice.
From a very young age, Zac has always had a passion for people in need. With this passion to help and strong skill set in manual therapy, exercise prescription and patient education; Zac aims to provide everything you may need for injury or pain recovery and prevention. He will provide an assessment to determine the causes of your current concerns, followed by treatment and individualized exercise prescription to address those causes. His approach includes solving the current issue, as well as preventing re-injury by setting you up for success in the future and optimizing your well-being. Zac's goal is to provide the best patient centred care uniquely tailored to you to optimize your individual health and fitness goals. Whether it be return to sport, improve day to day function and daily activities, decrease pain or improve strength, Zac can help you with your personal needs each step of the way.
Outside of Physiotherapy, Zac can be found in the gym weight lifting, outside running, biking, playing tennis, basketball, golf, walking his dachshund Riley or reading. He is a sports fanatic, particularly football, basketball, golf, tennis and hockey. He is fluently bilingual in both French and English.
